No change if YOU don't change.
And peacefully, it went. They saw and they heard. I wish I could watch as well but unfortunately,
I spent my day at a filling station (BOVAS) somewhere in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, hustling for fuel. Believe me, I got to the station exactly 8:30a.m and eventually got into the filling station around 4:55p.m. The whole drama before and after getting in was a story on its own. Anyway, it eventually got to my turn around 5:15p.m. Good thing about the fuel station is that it is being sold at #87 per litre. So I told the lady to sell the worth of #4,500. She told me I can only get #3,000 and I questioned her that I saw her selling the worth of #6,800 to someone ahead of me, and #4,000 to another person. Then she replied me in Yoruba and said 'awon yen se daada ni' meaning that ' those ones did well'. I acted as if I did not understand the statement and questioned her further. Lo and behold, two men behind me interrupted and said "oga, don't do as if you don't understand, give her something, then she will sell for you". I was pissed. The next thing I said was that "and you all shout for CHANGE". They shut me up and said if I want change, I should go to where they sell at higher prices. So, I told her to sell #3,000 worth of fuel for me. As I was leaving, I asked myself that "what becomes of the country after 4 years?" Do we need a change in government or a change in our mindset and thinking. The government will not make things right if WE don't make things right. The change we want and clamour for starts with US. Let us change ourselves and watch our government change. Stop shouting for change when you have not changed. Change is not magical!
