Rio Ferdinand officially hangs up his boots, he announces retirement from proffesional football



Rio Ferdinand has announced his retirement
from football, days after being released by

Queens Park Rangers.

The former England and Manchester United
defender last played in March, with QPR later
relegated to the Championship after finishing
20th in the Premier League this season.

He also said he would look back on his 81
England caps "with immense pride".
